BOUQUET CCT RESERVE

Public BBQ

This beautifully landscaped park in the new Bloomsdale estate offers a curious blend of promise and reality. The water play features and sandy areas prove irresistible to young children, creating squeals of delight on warm afternoons. Adventure-style play equipment sits alongside modern installations, all surrounded by thoughtful landscaping that creates genuine visual appeal. The sheltered barbecue areas deserve particular mention - properly covered pits with ample seating that actually work for family gatherings. However, practical challenges emerge quickly. The absence of marked parking creates immediate frustration, and the lack of public toilets transforms longer visits into strategic retreats home. The park's character seems to shift depending on perspective. Locals appreciate having quality facilities within walking distance, while visitors often leave feeling the journey wasn't quite justified. The water play elements remain the standout feature, though the overall experience feels somewhat unfinished - like a promising concept that stopped just short of full execution.
